  • vray background element not working on glass?

i have the rgb+alpha in my glass material but it still doesn't work. i've attached a zip file.

edit: all channels doesn't work either. and it doesn't work on GPU or CPU rendering alike.

The issue seems to affect only V-Ray GPU. I've logged the issue (internal bug-tracker id: VGPU-5870) for developer investigation. You can render it separately in CPU, just make sure the glass shader's reflection/refraction affects all channels.

I meant the entire scene. However, since only the VRayBackground is needed, I think disabling lighting and GI should give you a fast result.

oh i see. ok that could work especially with a matte black override material that ignores all my glass. alpha does work also though and if i need to in post i can crank on the levels to make the alpha pure white/black. ok thanks.
