vrscene exporter not doing anything

I select everything in scene
right click, then at bottom select > .vrscene export

it brings up a UI, I accept all default settings, press > export
....but nothing happens

On the right, there is a message: "Run Export/Analyze, to update scene export status..."

I press > Analyze

but again, nothing changes

Have you checked the export folder for the .vrscene?

Yes its not there
Restartting max though and suddenly it works again

I get this issue intermittantly
