color selector incredibly slow

ive no idea whats going on with max here (2021) .. i was on beta6, working on a heavy scene (geometry wise) everything is relatively fluid until i open the max colour picker from the material editor. ... every click or change takes about 1-2 minutes to react, and max is stuck in that time.

i thought it might be a beta6 issue, so went back to the latest 5.... same issue. any ideas?

Hi I do not fully understand your issue. Could you post a video or screen grab? What version of 3ds max are you using?
