registerVRayMenus() not working

Hi everybody,

I've just installed Vray 6 for 3dsmax 2022. The Vray quad menus are missing.
I tried the maxscript command "registerVRayMenus()" but it is not working. It returns "unregistered".

No menus.......

Any ideas of the problem ?

The quad menus have been removed for the v6 release.
You can now find their content in the menu bar at the top.

Btw, if you try to add menu on your own and they keep getting reset thats due to a file in your 3d max folder. This was an issue for me which was resolved now by the Chaos Team.

Can you check something for me - do you have a file called vrayinstall.txt located here:

• For Max < 2022 - in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2021\scripts\Startup (or where your Max is installed)
• For Max 2022 and 2023 in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\VRay3ds Max2022\scripts or C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\VRay3ds Max2023\scripts

If it is there - can you check if it is read only and if it is - make it writable. Then you can start Max, add the menus you want to the Quad and see if they stay there after restart ?
