I've been running into this issue a couple times. I find some pieces of geo are not able to be selected in the nuke crypto matte. I'm in Vray 5.20.23 still. I cant seem to pinpoint a particular pattern and its happening quite a bit, but I attached a max file and a exr showing a piece of problematic geo. I cant find anything wrong with it. Normals, vray properties,etc.

It seems to work fine. I simply opened the image in Nuke, added a Cryptomatte node and Unloaded All Mattes. What's happening on your end? -
When I bring it into Nuke add the crypto it just wont give me a selection. When I pick it, nothing shows up in the alpha, what is also strange is I can pick it multiple times within the cryptomatte. I attached a gif, but if its working for you it sounds like maybe its a nuke issue?

Try setting the Matte output to a separate alpha channel rather than using the rgba.alpha. This seems to work on my end.Comment
