Hi There,
I've discovered a bug with the new cloud system, but first let me explain our scene setup:
In order to have multiple Daylight Systems or just V-Ray Suns within the same scene working properly, historically we have done the following - First of all in V-Ray's Global Switches render settings 'Hidden Lights' is Unticked
Each V-Ray Sun or Daylight System is placed on it's own unique layer along with a V-Ray Dome Light that has a V-Ray Sky in it's texture slot. This sky texture is manually connected to the corresponding V-Ray Sun object.
We then use Scene States to turn on or off whichever lighting layer we'd like to be active for a particular camera, and tie this in to our custom rendering script. Thus we can have as many unique V-Ray Sun setups within a single scene as we like, very useful when you have 25 verified views each taken at a different time of the day.
This system has worked for us going back as far as we can remember, and here's where we run into a new bug in V-Ray 6 and Max 2023. Ticking the Clouds button with the V-Ray sun does nothing. The lighting and layer switching still works exactly as expected, but no clouds show up at all.
Could you look into this please? Best regards, Bill
