Perspective match render views breaks with vray cam distortion

I have a perspective matched view but need to use distortion to get it to fit, which it does, but only in the viewport.
It renders as if there was no distortion applied.
Is there a way to make this work?

Yes, is the answer...simply set it to perspective camera.

Hi could you explain a bit further? Are you using V-Ray Physical Camera?

Yes I fixed it as (typically) soon as posted the question.
Using a Vray cam I needed to set it to 'perspective' in the settings rollout, so all good thanks
