  • Inconsistencies with Eye-Icon in the VFB

    Hey guys,
there is some inconsistency in how the eye icon is handled in the VFB.
Every layer in the VFB can be hidden using that icon. If you disable the eye, the layer will not show the effect it has on the image. The only layer where this is not working is the Sharpen/Blur layer. When the effect is calculated, the eye does not have any effect. The image is still displayed with blur. If you want to compare it to the image without that effect quickly, you must disable sharpen/blur altogether. This takes a few seconds on high-res images and is very distracting. Can it be made to match layers like lens effects, where no recalculation is happening when you hide the layer for quick comparisons?

Also, what is the reason only RGB channel gets blurred? Ideally, you want to have the blur on all channels, including masks.

    Hello,

Do you have Lens Effects also turned on and in it - 'Create effectsResult channel' turned on? We have a know issue in this case that we haven't come up with a good solution yet (internal ID VMAX-12578 )
    Best regards,
    Yavor
