  • IPR restarts after calculating the GI

Hello everyone. I have a problem with a scene I'm working on. Every time I try an interactive render, the renderer just restarts after calculating the light cache, and then it keeps restarting over and over, sometimes the render goes through, but I don't understand what could be causing this, there is nothing unusual in the log that could point out to a problem. The final rendering works just fine, so does anyone know what's happening?

HI is this happening only in one scene or in every scene including a new simple scene? Please simplify and share the scene that is causing issues. You can do that here or through our support contact form.

Ive had this, although havent been able to pin it down. (see video link) I've also had it where it restarts when the mouse is moved out of the vfb window.

Ok so I've attached a scene and a new video. The issue seems to be from the camera in the scene called 'VRayCam Test' . I dont know why or what etc, but I think that was a clone of the other camera, when it had a target, which was consequently turned off. Clearly from other bugs ive submitted, that there is some dodgy things going on with vraycameras.

So to explain the video. I render IPR, if i move my mouse anywhere on the viewport windows, the ipr restarts and restarts, if i move it off and back in the VFB window or the side menus, the render completes...Delete that other camera and it seems to work fine.

          Hello,

Seems like your cameras are instanced - there's a general issue in Max with instanced cameras and you should avoid them.

          Best regards,
