  • VrayEnmeshMod issue with "Height" property.

    Hello.

Maybe I don't quite understand how it should work, but it looks like VrayEnmeshMod didn't work properly (V-Ray 6 hotfix 3).
I created a simple scene - a plane as the base object, and a teapot to place on the plane. On the render, the teapots are placed on the plane, but at the same time they are flattened to the original size according to the height of the source object.

I have to manually adjust the "Height" to keep the teapot in the correct proportions (the "Fit on object space" button does not help with this)

Maybe the checkbox "Automatic pattern height" is needed, as it is done in Corona 9 CoronaPatternMod?

Also, I would like to have a checkbox that would enable or disable the rendering of the base object. At the moment, the base object is never rendered.

    Thanks.

Yes, the height is, currently, dependent on the tiling. I'll talk to the project manager about it - maybe we can follow your suggestion. As for the Enable/Disable of the base object, you could always clone it.

Thanks for your reply. Hope this will be fixed in one of the updates.

Yes of course, that's exactly what I'm doing now. But this is not always a convenient solution when the scene is very large and heavy, in which we would like to do without unnecessary objects.
It seems to me that it would be much more convenient if there was a simple ability to enable/disable the base object from the render.

There was one more question. Is it possible to place the pattern only on the selected faces of the base object or only on the faces of the specified MatID?

      Thanks.

We have already logged both suggestions as an improvement request (internal bug-tracker id: VMAX-12670). We'll see what we can do.
