Vray displacement mod does not update an instanced map when a procedural map is dragged and dropped into vradysiplacement textmap slot as instance.
Steps to reproduce, make a sphere, apply vraydispl on it, create a checker texture, drag and drop it into vraydispl slot as instance, render, you will see displacement happeening, now in one of the colors of the checker apply noise, and set tiles to 4x4, render again, it does not update. then drag and drop it again and it updated.

ahhh...it doesn't work because you didn't hop up and down on your left foot, while patting your head and rubbing your belly in a circular motion.

go ahead...try it...and make sure you have a webcam capturing the whole thing so we can see ya...
