  • Activeshade Raytracer - Show messages dialog box - please stop it.

I've been experiencing this known issue I think since upgrading to Vray6 (chronologically adds up but not really verified.)
New scenes, old scenes, even a scene that was fine upon saving, the next time I open it and render, the message shows up.
    It's really becoming a time-sucker.

I've found in this forum how to get rid of it each time it happens, but why has this suddenly started happening?
I've never experienced this annoyance and my workflow has not changed (significantly) other than going from V-Ray 5 to 6.

Other than re-installing V-ray, etc, is there a permanent fix?

    Thanks a lot

    Hello,

Sorry but these messages are not related or issued from V-Ray. Maybe you have some Raytrace materials in your scenes ?

Again, the reason I am asking is that this has only started in the past 1-2 months.

If there were such materials hiding in my scene, wouldn't they be detected in Cloud job submission?
I always check and make sure I only have V-Ray materials always.
In my material editor I choose "show incompatible" and still no Raytrace materials present in my scenes.
I will double check and maybe try LeLe's script to detect them...

      Thanks for the suggestion.
