  • Vray and Gi tabs blank in render settings

    Hi

I have just installed max 2023 and vray 6 hotfix 3 on my new laptop. When I go to render settings the Vray and Gi tabs are blank.

There is a message in the top right saying i have 30 days to connect to the internet but im connected as we speak, is this the issue?

Any help would be much appreciated, i have tried searching the threads but haven't been able to find a solution.

    Thanks

Usually, the menus disappear when there's no license grabbed. You can confirm this by going to the V-Ray Licensensing Interface. Make sure you have it installed. Check if Otherwise, the message seems to be related to the Autodesk licensing.

          Is your online licensing active?

It expires on 13 Dec have you got the date wrong or does it shut down a month early all the time?

Would it normally warn me that the license has expired, or would it just stop working as it has done yesterday?

Just started 3ds max this morning and all works fine, and I have done nothing or changed any settings, so I have no idea why it failed yesterday?

Glad to hear. A hiccup, maybe.

I was trying to generate a custom enmesh surface at the time I don't know if that had anything to do with, it's not something I have used before in a real world situation? It wouldn't generate a surface then stopped all together?
