  • Yet another Adaptive Domelight Artifact

    Well, I found another situation creating the beloved Adaptive Domelight Artifact. See screenshot below, there is a hard edge running through the lighting pass from front to back. No tricks like objects not casting shadows, hidden to GI etc. Disabling adaptive domelight fixes the issue.
    Max2023, V-Ray 6.00.20

    Is there a HDR in the mix? It doesn't happen here with the attached scene.
    If it was that easy, it would have already been done

      No, there is not. The domelight is just plain white.
      We tested on multiple machines, they all show this error.
      The line only appears in the lighting pass.

        Yep sorry, I've missed the part with the lighting pass.
        If it was that easy, it would have already been done

          It's a known one, you can workaround it by enabling "Scatter GI" in the VRayFastSSS2 materials.
