    It means the whole window will resize. Not only the rendered content, if I am not mistaken. I am almost sure, you mostly like to turn this feature being kept "off". If rendering bigger then screenres. it´s not so funny than anymore =)

    And in the rendersettings you can set it wether the rendering will fit to your window or not. (under the big button for IPR I think)

        Scripting ...sorry, I´m mostly out. =) I have 2 screens and so one Screen is mostly then fit with the framebuffer. So it shows me everything I need. I have no own render farm and the one I use tells me if I accidentally have pressed the "x%" resolution button in FB. So I don't need a special tool to keep this always on top. You can look for some windows tools, which implement on every window an icon/function to make this certain window always on top.
        But here is also someone around (called ^Nele^), who might tell you more about what you said in your last sentence.
