  • CORONA > Vray 5 - Convertor

    Helo there ,

I'm just wondering if it´s just our problem, or it´s a known issue...

We have a smallish project (a historical industrial brewery building + a few items of greenery around but nothing crazy ) prepared in Corona ... now we are trying to convert it to Vray - to be used in Vantage for animations ... BUT when trying to use Vray Scene Converter it takes ages ( now it's running nearly 5 hours ) to process even if I use for "just selected nodes" without the greenery proxies and forests ... in comparison to same size scene converted from Vray to Corona takes about 20 minutes... What can be wrong, some tips and tricks .... many thanks!!!

Hi. It would be best if you could send us the scene. This is the best way we could understand better the problem and what exactly causes it. You could do that by using the support form. Please attach a link of this topic when you send your ticket.

We'd really love to see the scene in question.
The process either runs quickly enough (if it took 20 minutes the other way, that's got to be some enormous scene...), or it errors out.
That it takes this long is very suspicious, and quite difficult to imagine why it would be (i am familiar, if not the author of it all, with the converter code.).

You can PM me, mail me, or simply get in touch with Support (that'd be more circuitous, but would also leave a trace from your side.).
We can sign a NDA on the material should you wish for one, but an implicit one is in effect regardless.
