  • VRay Clipper with object materials enabled - how to get the UVW-coordinates to the cutting areas

    Hello,
does anybody know if there is a way to bring the UVW-coordinates of an object also to the cutted areas when working with VRay-Clipper. I searched a while, found nothing. Is it possible in VRay 6? I work with VRay 5.2.2.
The cutted areas are only filled with some blurry textures which contains the colors of the original texture.
I found a video where a piece of cake is cutted with a mesh and the cutted areas seem to have the rigth texture coordinates.

Projecting the texture through a VRayTriplanarTex should affect the clipped area too.

Thank you so much, Hermit. Now it works fine in the render. But the textures in the viewport are now showing the wrong scale. As I will need this feature only very rare it is fine as it is.

I presume you've used the VRayTriplanar as a mapping source for the VRayBitmap? This way, it seems, that the preview considers only the VRayBitmap. I've logged an improvement request (internal bug-tracker id: VMAX-13162) for a correct preview. Otherwise, if you use the VRayBitmap as a VRayTriplanarTex texture, the viewport preview should be correct.

I did it the wrong way. I connected the VrayBitmap to the Texture slot of the TriplnarMap and this to the Diffuse slot of the Material. No I changed it and connected the VRayTriplanarMap to the Mapping Source slot of the VRayBitmap and that tot the Diffuse slot. Now all is fine. Thanks for your help!!!
