  • V-Ray Update

I downloaded the update (vray_adv_61006_max2023_x64) and double clicking doesn't do anything. Windows 11.

Windows set itself to only install from the app store. I reset it and all is good.

glorybound , how has your experience been with Windows 11 so far? I'm reinstalling Windows on my computer and I'm wondering whether I should upgrade or not. Kinda not looking forward to it to be honest.

I don't know if it is just me, but the rights issue makes things a mess. I get things to work, but then they don't. Right now nothing I do saves (UI), and even Vantage gets uninstalled by itself. I have read other people's post about it, so I think it is a MAX/Windows thing. Things like the Scene Explorer crashing (BIGX) and now I have to open it manually every time I open a file. Windows sets everything to read only and you can't undo that. I am a local admin and I am always getting warning about needing admin rights to perform the function, which makes no sense.
