  • ICC profile is brightening the image

    Hi guys,

after latest update ICC profile is brightening the image and I can't save normally as I do, now I need to choose gammma2.2 or srgb as display correction and the colors of the image are different than the exported image.
How can I fix this, I need to use it for the calibrated colors on my monitors.

    Cheers.

Hi, narsov. Could you please tell more about the process? How do you export the images, and in what format? What is the ICC profile? Did you use this profile for the first time, or it's a profile you used before and just recently it started to behave like this? In what program do you watch the exported image? Could you please save a simple scene including the profile?
You could send it to our support team by using this link. Please when you send the ticket, add a link from this topic into the ticket.

In general, the display correction affects only the display on the monitor, not the pixels of the exported image as mentioned in the documentation:
"The ICC correction allows you to apply an ICC profile to the image, so that (for example) it matches the appearance of the image in Adobe Photoshop. This is a display correction that is only applied when the image is viewed in the frame buffer. It is not applied when the image is saved to a file."

      Hi dimitar_panayotov
The process is simple and I use it all the time, you can see the setup on attached image.

Yes, I use the ICC profile to have correct colors displayed in Vray frame buffer, but now when I save the file to a jpg or tiff is bright (see image attached)
