  • how to render an animation

hello. stupid question, but for the life of me, can't figure it out v5-current.

to render an animation sequence, i have to use the 3ds Max Render Production button on the tool bar.

if i choose the V-ray render production on the v-ray tool bar. it renders 1 frame then stops. i'm sure it's not the IPR button, it's the production button.

does this matter for anything? thanks

.. guess you may only need to set a frame range in the rendersetup. And make also there sure, that "iterative" setting is turned off and is showing "production" (via the top dropdown menu)

Hi, thanks for posting. It actually mentions that it will render the current frame - Click image for larger version

But this does not make sense and it is not written in the docs. I will check what is going on.

Hi, I have reported a task for our docs team to add a bit more description about the V-Ray Tool bar's render button. For now we will not change the button's function and it will stay only for single frame rendering.
