  • V-Ray uses CPU for lens effects instead of GPU?

Hi. I've noticed that every time a render finishes, V-Ray shows a message at the bottom of VFB that says "Calculating CPU glare" even though "hardware accelerated" is checked. Is this misreporting or does it indeed use CPU for some reason? Please see the screenshot below. You can check my signature for hardware and software info.

    Hello,

If you are rendering with V-Ray GPU - post effects are calculated on the CPU. This is on purpose to avoid taking up valuable VRAM..

    Best regards,

Thanks for the clarification, Yavor. I have a 2nd GPU (GTX 1080 Ti 11GB) that is used only for display and scene navigation. Is it possible to offload the effect to that GPU? It should be capable enough?
