    I'm gonna bump this again.

It seems things have stagnated, and neither Chaos or Autodesk have a solution, and both sides are pushing it back to the other side.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't want to use work-arounds. It seems like a big part of current and future work-flows, and unless it's sorted at the core, then collaborating and working with other teams is going to be a nightmare, as each studio or department will be using their own "hacks" to get around this issue, or simply sticking with Max 2023, which isn't exactly progressive is it?!

    Fustrated!

I think Autodesk clarfied the issue is on their side: they haven't added the tables they should have.
I am unaware of any other news, if you have any, please report them.

This is the latest from AD, but it doesn't seem to be moving forward at all - https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-m...ighlight/false

Maybe you guys are in touch with AD, specifically Giuseppe Schiralli?

Our devs are constantly in touch with the AD ones.
But we have absolutely no power to dictate their timings, as well it should be, nor we get to talk to their QA department.

Absolutely. And I understand these things aren't always an overnight fix. However you guys will have more power to push and chase AD than us users do. I'll follow up on the AD forum too.

                Thanks,

This is my prediction: a major update of 3ds Max is due in March.
It can be expected that ad's 3dsMax team is finalising the release of 3ds Max 2025.
This means that there will be no more updates for 3ds Max 2024.
(Unless there is a fatal fix; the V-Ray colour picker issue is not fatal)

Seems there is an update released by Autodesk for 3ds Max 2024 which claims to adress this issue. You can get it through the Autodesk Access App.
