I have been posting this issue for about a year, and I have received no help with it, so I thought I would start a new thread. View image doesn't work. Picking it does nothing.

Works fine for me. Perhaps the window that pops up is behind something or offscreen entirely?

It works for me as well. Nevertheless, when the image is opened it is centered in between my 2 monitors. Just for a quick check if you use multiple monitors, disconnect one of them and check where the pop-up window with the image preview is going to appear (if it appears at all). This could give us an idea if Pixelcon is right. Also, if you have 2 or more monitors, do they have the same resolution?

Press alt + space then M, then an arrow key to make the window stick to your cursor.
        A.

If you are opening a .tx image it may not work.

JPEG seems to work, but no, .TX doesn't

The view image function utilizes the image viewer built in to max, which cannot read .tx files natively.

Would be better if max would let third parties register file types and loaders. But I guess the API does not work like that.

Viewing .tx files does work now, at least in Max 24 it does.
It does give the attached error for whatever reason, though only on the first viewing of
                each image.

Oh, nice. I have yet to upgrade. Need to finish existing projects first.

I get that error, but it still doesn't work for me.

Disconnecting my 4K monitor allows it to be seen on my laptop. Connecting it again causes me to lose it again.

This makes me think it's maybe just displaying it offscreen for some reason. Try moving it with the arrow keys (I forget the shortcuts to do this all via keyboard since you can't click it).

                              Arrows or alt+space+m do nothing.
