Error receiving DR scene

I can ping both machines, one to the other. What can cause this error (Error receiving DR scene)? I can also see the node machine in the DR settings, but the status is blank.

Do we still need to run at least one backburner render, or is that outdated?

I was able to run a backburner render, but it didn't change anything in V-Ray.

Got it! I had to log into the license manager from my slave machine. Thanks for all the help
