  • Problem with transparent objects when background images are used?

I have a student that has major problems with a project. He is trying to perspektive match an image that he drags in (jpg). The matching isn't a problem but anything he trys to render gos trasparent no matter if its a basic primative with default white material or somthing more advanced,

If he does a clean scene with just some primatives and a sun it works fine but as soon as he has a background image in envroment everything goes transparent. Have tryed different materials and and also useing enviroment in render settings. Same thing. Any clue where the problem might be?

He is useing 6 and max 2023 on windows 10

A screenshot or scene might be nice.

It looks like when he's dragged the image to the viewport to use as a background, he has accpeted both options, so that's to both use it as a background and an environment, which defaults to screen mapped, thus overlaying
        the background.
At least that's what I'd check first, to eliminate that possibility
