  • Saving RGB_Color channel with denoiser and no Lens Effects

    Hi,

I'm using the 'Separate Render Channel' tab to save out my renders, and in the resulting RGB_Color element, I need to have it with the denoiser result but without the glare. The RGB_orig element doesn't have the glare baked but it's noisy.

How should I set-up V-Ray to have a denoised RGB element without any baked Lens Effects? I used to render an exr then bring it back into the framebuffer and manually save out a Tif file without any baked effects, but this is tedious when you have a dozen renders.

Hi, thanks for posting. What version of V-Ray are you using? In V-Ray 6 there is a separate channel with a _VRayDenoiser suffix that keeps the denoising effect without the lens effect.

Hi Vladimir. Thanks for the response.

I'm using V-Ray 6 1.2. The VrayDenoiser element has a slightly different look to it compared to origRGB and RGB_color. After some testing, I think it's not baking the information from the Filmic tonemap layer.

Hi, you have to enable the Save VFB colour corrections to render elements checker:
