  • Using the CTRL+X hotkey in Max hides the VFB toolbars and buttons

So it seems that after updating to Vray 6.2, using CTRL+X in Max to hide the toolbars also hides the VFB toolbars and buttons which I don't like. Is there a way to revert back to the old behaviour? I looked through the VFB settings and couldn't find any option that disables this.

Hi, thanks for posting. What version of 3ds Max are you using? I can't reproduce this on my 3ds Max 2024 with V-Ray 6.2. Could it be some custom changes to your UI that cause this? Have you tried to reset everything to default?

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't made any UI changes. This happens on another PC here as well after updating. By the way, we are using 3ds Max 2023.

        Hello,

Do you mean the Expert mode toggle (Ctrl + Alt +X) - that hides toolbars ? To my surprise - it does hide some of VFBs toolbars. We haven't done anything about that functionality on our side - seems like Max goes and hides any toolbar it can reach
        Also not anything new:

Yes, I meant CTRL+ALT+X, sorry! It's the "Expert mode" toggle, as you pointed out. Is there a way to revert back to not hiding the VFB toolbars? By saying it's nothing new, do you mean this was always happening? For us this never happened until updating to V-Ray 6.2 and I really don't like my VFB buttons disappearing.
