  • Stop 3DS MAX

I was playing around with MAX on my render node, turning off the service and manually starting in; now I can't get rid of MAX to update V-Ray. What do I need to do? Killing MAX just stats it over.

You need to stop the spawner: either the service or the app (or both).

Yeah, I did. I rebooted, and Spawner auto-started, and I then killed Spawner. Something must have been crossed. The spawner was disabled and shouldn't have started when I rebooted. It did, but at least I was able to stop it.

You should remove the service auto-start (there is a shortcut called Remove the service for V-Ray spawner for 3ds Max XXXX).

        And .. Happy New Year
If it was that easy, it would have already been done
