  • matte object problem with ceiling in room

    hello there

please help me with a strange issue... is it me or is there something broken in v-ray? (newest version)

If I want to mask a chair in a room and set the room via matte objects in the v-ray properties, the chair is rendered brighter if there is a ceiling in the room... if I turn off the ceiling, the chair renders correctly.

      Hi, thanks for posting.

You have to uncheck the "no GI on other mattes" checker.

          Hi,
          the alpha channel is broken
Probably you are not applying all the checkers. I made an example scene for you (attached). Could you check it out and let us know if it will work for you?
