  • gpu, displacement and vraymultisubtex

So just looking through the 'supported features' for gpu and regarding vraymultisubtex.... it has the litte subnote saying "These plug-ins are only partially supported by V-Ray GPU." not very helpful.

So i have a texturemap, going through a vraymultisubtex and into the displacement channel of the vraymtl. The time for first pixel is terrible and the results are wrong, so im guessing this is one of the unsupported features. Ive attached a scene and here are the cpu and gpu images.

If this is the case that it isnt supported, can you at the very least add that to the notes?

I notice that as a workaround, apart from the horrible times to get to first pixel, the multitexture node works as expected, which kind of begs the question if that does why vraymultisub doesnt.

Thanks for the report. I've logged the issue (internal bug-tracker id: VGPU-6390) for dev investigation. It seems to happen specifically with VRayMultiSubTex's Random By Element mode.
