  • Flat Displacement

    As you can see, the side where my sun hits the road is flat. I am after the shaded side for the whole roof. Tips? 3D Displacement - 2D is a little better.

      It is mapped using Mapscaler. I'll try a UVW Map.

        Are you sure it's not displaced? Looks like it could just be the sun angle. At the valley, the tiles on the right kind of look like they do have some displacement (you can see the line of the valley has some zig zag to it corresponding to the tiles on the right.)

          Yes, that is my point. All displacement is gone when not in the shade.

            I don't think it's a problem with your displacement, just the sun angle, i.e., change the sun angle.

            Alternatively, I'll sometimes multiply the diffuse map with the displacement map to add some artificial shadowing to the diffuse.
