In Vray for 3ds Max, the triplanar reference to another node works in RT or IPR, but doesn't work on a normal render.
We want to use this approach to map dust maps on a car (with many objects and shaders), with the triplanar pointing to a point attached to the car root node (or the root node itself). The shader behaves correctly when testing in RT, the triplanar space moving with the car, but breaks on a normal render, staying on an unknown coord space without any motion.
Basic test scene reproduces the issue (attached).
