  • Water creating shadows at edges

Any thoughts on these shadows that are created where the water geometry touches the land geometry?

If you reduce the 'shadow bias' it will solve this.

I had the same problem. Thanks.
Could it be that cast shadow from HDRI-Dome-Light has a negative impact too?
Is this a standard water from V-Ray library?

An hdr can have the same issue yes, so just lower the bias in the same way if it's noticeable

I'm using the Phoenix animated water displacement map, but I've noticed this shadow thing with several different types of water textures. The shadow bias tweak seems to be the way to go.
