Also, anytime I try to render from max with gpu after initiating a live link to vantage, it automatically renders with vantage instead of vray gpu.... have to switch renderer to cpu then back to gpu to render through max vfb

Disabling DR (how the link is established) should resolve this. Closing the Vantage window disables it automatically.
