  • VRayExtraTex render element - objects render black if they are part of the Include list

Hello. I have a scene that has VRayExtraTex render element with a Gradient Ramp map. Everything renders fine until I use the Include/Exclude list in the render element. If I put my objects in this list in "Include" mode, they render black. Please see the screenshots below.

Doesn't happen on a simple scene, so it must be something specific. Mind if you attach the scene?

EDIT: Spoke too soon. It seems to affect only VRayScatter items, can you confirm? From what I'm testing, you need to include/exclude the source scattered objects, not the node itself.

I found what the problem was! The source grass clump objects used in the scatters need to have their "Renderable" option turned on in their object properties for them to show up in the VRayExtraTex render element, but only if the Include/Exclude list is used. If this list is not used, they don't need to be made renderable. Is this normal or a bug?

I guess it is since it works in GPU. Logged (internal bug-tracker id: VMAX-14166).
