Hellooo,
I'm having trouble with V-Ray lens effects since updating to V-Ray 6 Update 2.1. Previously, when enabling lens effects in the VFB, they would render directly onto the .exr output beauty renders. Now, however, the lens effects are rendering as separate effects passes and are not embedded in the image.
I primarily use After Effects for compositing, not Nuke. When I import the .exr sequence into After Effects and apply the lens effects pass using the SCREEN blending mode, it doesn't replicate the same quality of effects I initially tweaked in VFB in 3ds Max.
Could someone please guide me on how to embed lens effects directly into the .exr export beauty shots? If this isn't possible, is there a different blending mode in After Effects that would better replicate the same effect? What is the recommended workflow for this scenario?
Additionally, when it comes to VFX compositing with an alpha channel, rendering lens effects on an alpha background causes issues with edge cuts. How should I address this?
Thank you!
