  • IPR refreshing with mouse movement

IPR starts refreshes with mouse/pen/3dconnexion movement. Any idea how to fix this?

It makes no difference if i use Vray GPU rendering or Vray rendering, select Cuda or RTX or use one or two GPU's

    Using V-Ray 6 update2.1 (6.20.06 build 00000)
Nvidia Driver 551.86 (used for either GFX 1080Ti or RTX 3070 also tried both) (after a complete reinstallation with DDU)
    3DS max 2024.2.3 Security Fix .2.3.1246.0-262

Attached the file. It's from a course i'm following. File, part from course material, is made with educational version 3ds

If I understand correctly whenever you move your mouse the IPR refreshes? You forgot to attach the file btw? Do you have this in a new scene as well, or only in this scene?
    A.

Also, if you are using any Alembic files via VrayProxy turn off Use Alembic Offest (this should be reported as a bug, I keep forgetting yavor.rubenov ).

You can check it on to set the frame, but if you leave it on IPR will continually update.

I would need some way to reproduce it (no issues in a simple test).

Oh, interesting. I keep running into it so I thought it would be obvious. When I am back in the office next week I will send you something.

The trick was to turn on motion blur.

Please see the zip file here with a simple ABC export in the range of 50-100 from a TyMesher.

With Use Alembic Offset enabled IPR will just sit there and churn on Building Light Cache, restarting over and over. With Use Alembic Offset turned off, but the offset frame still set it works fine. So that is an easy work around, but it is very confusing until you figure out the cause.
