    Hi,
I never saw this before. Don't know what is happening
This simple scene. Ball and big plane with water shader.

Turn on the shader's "Thin-walled" option.

EDIT: Hm, actually recreating the shader from scratch yields correct results. Not sure what's going on.

It needs to be a water surface so thin walled is not an option here.

If you make something like beach it looks like this.

Yeah I duno too. Recreating shader on my side doesnt work.

Ok so I just found the problem Its a bug. Refractive materials created with color management on do it. If you create new material without color management its fine. Interesting is that if you switch color management back on those materials still work the same. Please check the new scene I prepared, I named the materials, so you will know.

Are you refering to the 3ds Max color management? I don't see any difference in the result (artifacts-wise) when switching from unmanaged to either gamma workflow or OCIO.

I don't think color management is involved. It simply changes the color of the inf pixels. I'm getting correct results even if I recreate the shader with your OCIO settings. Are you using any third-party plugins that may be involved?

Nope just forest pack and phoenix. But in this scene there is no forest and it doesnt work even without phoenix ocean map. Im sure its color management, because it changes the color swatch and modify its values and even if I put for example 0,8 to refraction its different 0,8 than without color management :/ Not sure why.

EDIT: I can set higher values than 1 in color swatch with this setting of color management. In in test material everything is below 1 of course.

Ok, I managed to reproduce it on a simple scene. It seems to happen specifically with custom OCIO configs and VRayDomeLight. I've logged the issue (internal bug-tracker ID: VMAX-14279) for dev investigation.

Thanks. Any tip how to workaround it for now?
