  • Problem with one of the node using distributed rendering

    We have 4 nodes. 3 are working fine, one is stuck on the buckets. They appear pixelated and not rendering properly.
    A photo is showing what's happening, the purple buckets are the one from the node ( IP finishing with 249 / Pablo-pc ), they accumulate but not rendering.

    Hi, thanks for posting. Do you have enough RAM on your render nodes? A render node could have ran out of memory and swapping parts of the scene to the hard drive. This slows down the distributed rendering process significantly. Many times it is so slow that buckets like in your render could stand still for many hours. Please make sure you are not running out of RAM. Please use the VRayDRBucket render element to determine which computer is causing the issue.
    We highly recommend not to use irradiance map. This feature is no longer updated and going like that for a long time now. Please use BruteForce/LigthtCache method. It produces much better results and if the speed is you concern just drop the image sampler settings and use stronger denoiser settings.
    If you can't manage on your own please send us the scene for review.
