I have a slave machine that looks okay, but the buckets never finish; there are no log errors or warnings. I have rendered to this slave hundreds of times without an issue until these last two projects. My main PC eats up the buckets, and there is a sea of slave buckets that don't go away. Do you have any tips?

Hi, thanks for posting. Are you sure you are not running out of memory on your slave machine? It could be swapping memory to the hard drive which is slowing down the rendering process immensely. Please check this as a first step.
Please check these links especially the Distributed Rendering Troubleshooting Guide.

I looked at resources, and it was good - 75% RAM was being used.Bobby Parker

Please go trough the links that I shared in my previous post and check you project again carefully. If you do not manage to fix the issue please archive and send us the project for a test.
Have you tried to render the scene directly on your slave machine without using distributed and what was the result?
