Hi, having some issues with Vray + Hair and Fur. I have a beauty render that I used hairmode "mr prim" to render. That works like a charm. VrayhairNextmtrl applied via the "Custom Shader"-slot.
However I have a smoke renderpass where I need the character to render as a matte object. Tried setting the VrayProperties of the birth object to matte object and alpha contribution to -1 but that crashes on render. I've also tried putting a MtlWrapper (with the same settings) in the "Custom Shader"-slot but that crashes as well.
I can get it work by setting the hairmode to geometry but then I lose the tip fade setting so the fur gets a more rugged look. I tried getting the VrayHairInfoTex to works as a tipfade instead but that doesn't seem to work in geometry mode...
if I render the smoke pass with geometry and the beauty with mr prim the AA differs too much so I cant comp it together in a good way.
Is there a way to get Matte object/alpha contribution -1 to work with mr prim or a way to get VrayhairInfoTex to work in geometry mode?
Thanks!
/Andreas
