Excluded object from vraylight wont let specular effect through only diffuse light

Hi!

Coming from vray 5 I noticed that the specular effect from vraylights is not visible any more, only diffuse light? When a object is excluded from the vray lightsource? The excluded object seem to stop the specular effect?
I tried this in different versions of vray. Version 61006, 62002, 62006 and 70002. Using 3ds max 2024 and 2025 with latest servicepacks.

Is this a bug of some sort that made It all the way through vray 6 and in vray 7?

If the lightsource is a vray sun It works strangely enough, specular comes through the excluded object.

Hi, of course no problem. Here is the file.

The output is identical between V-Ray 7 and V-Ray 5. What happens is that the Box's reflection obscures the Specular of the light. If you exclude the reflections of the Box from the Path (V-Ray properties), you'll get what you want.
