  • Error : Auto-backup is enabled at file C:\CI\cgrepo\vray\vrender\src\vrender.cpp

    Hello,

I'm getting these strange errors below. What does this error mean?

Interestingly, every now and then I find my autobackups turned off and I have to periodically turn them on again when I know for a fact that I never turn them off. This is a major problem when I forget to check and turn autobackiups back on, because when Max crashes, I'm losing progress. I think it might be related to this error? Can you kindly have a look and let me know? I notice that whenever I do an IPR render the Autobackup icon turns off and when I stop the render it turns back on. Maybe sometimes something goes wrong and V-Ray doesn't turn it back on due to an error like this one?

BTW, this is not the first time I see this error. I've been seeing it for the past year or so at the least.

Probably there's an Autoback check somewhere in the code that shouldn't be there.

This is intentional since autobacking during IPR could cause crashes.

Maybe. The error is harmless. but it's best to send us the scene so we can troubleshoot.
