Why does rendering a scene using a lightcache vrlmap from a pre-made file take twice as long as rendering the lightcache just normally in a frame?

    This seems totally ludicrous.

I'm reproducing a very slow loading of .vrlmaps when using CPU, but not GPU. Have you made a typo there?

EDIT: Logged an issue (internal bug-tracker id: VMAX-14691) for the CPU slowdown. Waiting for your answer to see if the GPU issue is something else.
