  • error opening job definition file

Just built a new test render machine - Shuttle SN25P, ABD X2 processor, Windows XP Pro 64bit.

Installed Max7 and SP1. Installed latest Vray. Installed RPC plugin.

When running Backburner Server, it connects to the Manager fine, but each time it tries to receive a new job, it just gives errors as follows:

    "error opening job definition file"

Any ideas where I need to start looking?
    Kind Regards,

Maybe here? Also, you can try asking on the Autodesk 3dsmax forum, someone may have already stumbled upon this.

    Best regards,

Oh well - I gave up on the XP x64 and installed normal XP Pro. Worked first time!

I'm a bit pi**ed off actually. I spent £80 or so on the new XP Pro x64 thinking it was fully functional and compatable with everything! I know that was a bit naive, but it wasn't/isn't clear that this XP x64 is a beta-type product!

Oh well, you live and don't learn.

We are using a mixed farm of XP64 and Pro without any issues so I don't think the problem is XP64 directly.
