I received an ArchiCAD from a client, which has been a nightmare. One thing is joining objects gets me this mess.

Before, and the next image is after. I tried resetting the geometry, but it screwed up after joining.

Yeah, it's probably bad normals and geometry. I think remodeling is easier than trying to fixing CAD data.

How are you joining these surfaces?
There are several ways to do it, some of which were never supposed to work with CAD data.

I will try, but this is a joke! I have spent more time trying to get the site working than I would have modeling from 2D CAD the whole project. Someone needs to take these tools away from the not-trained!
