  • include/exclude render element not working with tycaches

I am having different issues with tycaches and vray.
If I have a render element (for example extratexmap), and I want to isolate this to a specific tycache, the include/exclude will not work.
I tried different things, vray interface is on, if I enable particle interface doesnt change anything.
The only way to make it work, is to turn off viewport gpu and add an edit poly in top, then the renderpass will work, (but doing so we loose velocity information and motionblur will not work).

Not sure if related, but I found that if I create a vraycryptomatte set to "bylayer", will not work with tycaches neither. So I have layer 1 with some objects, layer 2 with more objects, layer 3 with a tycache. Cryptomatte will differenciate layer 1 from layer 2, but layer 2 and layer 3 will have the same crypto information.

CPU or GPU? tyCache rendering mode is set to Instances or Meshes? Works fine on my end with a tyCache that has instanced objects. I'm using the latest official V-Ray for 3ds Max build (7.00.04).

    This also works as expected.

Mind if you send your scene with the tyCache included?
