  • V-Ray Saves Incorrect JPG When Rendering a Fix (with polygon region render) on a Loaded Image

    - After rendering a whole bunch of images, i used the history panel to load one of said images, I drew a polygon region render to fix something i changed in the model
    - When render starts it asks me to overwrite the previous saved raw image (vrimg) and common output (jpg)
    - The saved vrimg is correct, the jpg is incorrect, namely it takes the last image that I rendered completely (with pulze scene manager, but I don't think that matters) and saves the region render on top of that, so it doesn't take into account the loaded (history vrimg) image but somehow it takes the last fully rendered image. It does this for all the fixes I needed to do, so it kept the same fully rendered image and kept saving the regions on top of that.
    - To make vray snap out of it, I pressed the clear all channels button before loading the image I wanted to fix, drew my region render, pressed render and made it overwrite the previous vrimg and jpg. The resulting jpg is now black with the only visible part being the fix.
    - Now when I checked my settings > system > previous render it was on "clear", which actually means that it should clear the vfb when i start rendering these fixes (no?), which it didn't. When I changed it to unchanged, the resulting common JPG is still wrong.

I tested with the regular VFB region render and it saved the JPG correctly, so it must have something to do with the polygon region render.

Thanks for the report. It seems like an issue concerning the polygon region and the Common output. I've logged it (internal tracker ID: VMAX-14835) for dev investigation. I suggest you use V-Ray's Separate render channels as an output instead.
