  • Intel/Nvidia denoisers disable image filtering

Hello I just noticed that when you are using Intel or Nvidia denoiser engines Image filtering is atomaticly disabled. It that a bug or its intendet to work like that? When I use default Vray denoiser filtering is applied normaly and then image is denoised.

Hi maybe I dont explain the problem enough. Image above is not denoised, this whole problem is not about denoising itself but about that ai denoiser modes disable image filtering on beauty non denoised renders.
On the left is beauty non denoised render with intel denoiser enabled, as you can see noise is sharp and without aa filter (we use area) even if its enabled in vray settings.
On the right is beauty non denoised render with vray denoiser enabled, now you can see area image filter is applied normaly.
    Any suggestions?

It is expected. Corona does a similar thing, as described in this article. The difference is that we do not disable pixel filtering - we make it separate for each pixel instead of neighboring pixels sharing samples. The end effect is similar, however.

Ok I understand, but the image filtering is "disabled" even when ai denoising is not enabled. Also I didnt notice any warning or error in log like in corona article you send.

The only way to disable it completely is to either remove the VRayDenoiserRE or untick its "VrayVFB" option. There are no warnings printed, yes. Otherwise, what's your reason for using a non-denoised but filtered image with the AI denoisers?

I dont want to use it thats the point Im using ai denoising for previews but for finals i dont want to. But if I just leave it there it will modify my beauty and I didnt know that because no warning. I thought denoiser will only appear in effects result or denoiser channel.
