  • Vertex Color SubChannel ignored?

When i wire up a Vertex color map to control a blend for example on a VrayBlendMat and i set the output of the Vertex Color to a sub-channel ie. RED Vray seems to get confused by the actualy color values and outputs a Grey color where you would expect to see Black..

I am using an RGB Tint to filter the vertex colours for now, but its making the materials a bit messy and would be nicer to use Sub-channels. Not sure if this bug is already listed?

    Attached an example scene.

We are using 3DsMax 2025 and Vray 7.1

Thanks for the provided scene. The weirdness stems from the "Blend Amount" color (the square just left of the Blend map). It seems it affects the output when using the Vertex Color node directly (without RGB Tint) in GPU, probably because it is a mono node. Setting them to a black color will resolve the issue.

Ah ok, at least im not going nuts. Will this likely be fixed in the future update? Not sure how bug lists tracking works in Vray?
